The occupation arrests a Palestinian journalist in Hebron News


Hebron- At dawn on Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces arrested Palestinian journalist Bilal Al-Taweel from his home in the city of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.

A circulating video clip shows the moment of the arrest of Al-Tawil, an independent journalist, “Free Lancer,” and his transfer to the military vehicle, handcuffed and blindfolded.

With the arrest of Al-Taweel, the number of cases of arrests of journalists after October 7 increases to about 77 journalists, according to data from the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, including 50 journalists currently in detention from the West Bank, while data from the government media office in Gaza indicate that 147 journalists have been martyred and 20 have been arrested since the start of the attack. the war.

According to the Palestinian Club, among the detainees are 4 female journalists who are under administrative detention.

According to the club, the number of administrative detention orders after October 7 exceeded 5,900, including new orders and renewal orders, and among these cases are children and women.

In total, the number of arrest cases recorded among Palestinians since October 7 has reached about 8,890 detainees, while the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons currently exceeds 9,300, including 80 female detainees, and more than 3,400 administrative detainees, according to the same source.
