The occupation army reported on Sunday that two of its soldiers were killed in battles in central and northern Gaza, bringing the number of Israeli military deaths to 505 since the start of the Israeli war on October 7 last year in the besieged Strip.
The army announced in a statement that reserve officer Iliraz Gabbay was killed during his participation as a fighter in the 7810th Battalion of the Yiftah Brigade (11) in a battle in the center of the Gaza Strip.
In addition to the killing of reserve soldier Liav Saada, during his participation as a fighter in the 7107th Engineering Battalion in the battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the Israeli army announced the killing of 3 officers and a soldier during battles with Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip, an officer with the rank of major in the engineering battalion of the Golani Brigade, and another team leader in the Givati patrol in Gaza, in addition to the serious wounding of an officer and 3 soldiers.
Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza, which, as of Saturday, resulted in the death of 21,672 Palestinians and the injury of 56,165 others, most of them children and women. This war also caused massive destruction of infrastructure and left an “unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe,” according to Palestinian and international reports.
