Israel arrested dozens of Jabalia residents and intensified its artillery and air bombardment of several areas in the Gaza Strip. It also continued to force hundreds of families to leave shelter areas in northern Gaza.

The Israeli army announced that it had arrested 200 of what it described as saboteurs from the Jabalia region since the start of the military operation in the region.

Medical sources told Tel Aviv Tribune that 42 people were killed in Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip since dawn on Wednesday, most of them in the northern Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that Israeli occupation artillery bombed the northwestern areas of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and that an Israeli raid targeted the southeastern area of the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

In the north, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported artillery shelling, tank fire, and Israeli marches in the Jabalia camp and the Beit Lahia town project, which led to the martyrdom of two Palestinians and the injury of others.

Scenes from Tel Aviv Tribune showed a number of besieged families taking to the streets at night, after artillery and air strikes on their homes and surrounding areas in the Beit Lahia town project, north of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli artillery shelling also targeted the Al-Saftawi area, northwest of Gaza City.

In another development, CNN quoted UNRWA as saying, “One of our trucks was directly bombed by an Israeli missile, which led to the death of one of our employees.”

She added that the aid worker’s brother was also killed in the Israeli raid on the UN truck.

Civil defense work stopped

In this context, Civil Defense spokesman in the Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Basal, said that the occupation arrested 5 of its members and took them to an unknown location.

He added that Israeli tanks targeted the only fire truck in the northern Gaza Strip and set it on fire, stressing that the work of civil defense crews had completely stopped in the North Governorate and that the situation there had become disastrous.

He stressed that the policy of the Israeli occupation forces in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip, is to empty residential blocks one by one.

Basal added that hundreds of civilians in Jabalia are under severe danger, as the occupation deliberately destroyed a large residential block, and is now focusing on shelter centers in Beit Lahia, adjacent to the Jabalia camp.

On October 5, the Israeli army began unprecedented bombing operations on the camp, the town of Jabalia, and large areas in the northern Gaza Strip, before announcing the start of its invasion the next day.

As for hospitals, the Civil Defense spokesman said that the Indonesian Hospital is closed, and that the Kamal Adwan and Al-Awda hospitals are besieged, and anyone who tries to enter or leave them is targeted.

He added that the occupation destroyed the squares surrounding Kamal Adwan Hospital and closed all the streets leading to it.

The Israeli occupation forces forced hundreds of Palestinian families to leave shelter centers in the northern Gaza Strip, under the weight of bombing. These families left in tragic circumstances, not knowing where they were going.

In parallel, the occupation forces arrested a number of men, while others, including children, were martyred.

With American support, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 143,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Tel Aviv continues this war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end it immediately and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
