The Israeli army announced that 14 soldiers were wounded in battles in the Gaza Strip within one day, while the resistance announced attacks on soldiers and occupation vehicles in Rafah in the south.

The occupation army acknowledged the killing of 666 officers and soldiers since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, in addition to about 3,900 wounded, while the resistance says that the occupation’s human losses are much greater than that.

For its part, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that the Israeli army decided to make a significant reduction in the specified quotas of soldiers who belong to the technology units of the Intelligence and Espionage Division, such as Unit 8200 and Unit 81, due to the shortage in the numbers of soldiers.

The newspaper added that the army was following a previous policy of preferring to include outstanding young men in technology units – including the offensive cyber unit – rather than including them in combat forces.

This policy was followed when the army believed that it could be outnumbered in the face of threats.

Yedioth Ahronoth said that Unit 8200 expressed its dissatisfaction with this decision, considering that it would harm the quality of soldiers in these special units.

The military spokesman confirmed to the newspaper that the army had already begun reducing quotas for these units as a result of the war and the immediate need for larger numbers of soldiers.

Resistance operations

For its part, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced attacking Israeli soldiers and vehicles in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

The Al-Quds Brigades said that they bombed with mortar shells the headquarters of the occupation forces at the Abu Oreiban site in the Netzarim axis.

Al-Saraya broadcast scenes of its bombardment by occupation soldiers in the vicinity of the Rafah land crossing, and the positions of Israeli vehicles near the Palestinian-Egyptian border south of Rafah.

The Al-Qassam Brigades also broadcast video clips of an operation targeting a Merkava tank within an Israeli armored force, after monitoring the traffic of Israeli vehicles for several days on Al-Bahr Street, south of the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah.

Toll and victims

On the humanitarian side, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli occupation forces committed 4 massacres during the past 24 hours, resulting in 60 martyrs and 140 injured. This came in light of the continuing raids of the occupation forces on various sites in the Strip.

The Ministry of Health confirmed this afternoon, Wednesday, that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which has continued since October 7, had risen to 37,718 martyrs, in addition to 86,377 injured.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that 15 Palestinians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment that targeted the Abu Awad family home in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that 5 Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli artillery shelling that targeted an apartment in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The correspondent confirmed that two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli bombardment that targeted the town of Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported the recovery of the bodies of 3 Palestinians who were martyred in an Israeli bombing that targeted them east of the city of Rafah.

The Israeli occupation forces also blew up a number of residential squares in the center and west of the city of Rafah, and the occupation army soldiers burned homes and commercial facilities in the areas witnessing an Israeli incursion, amid artillery shelling and gunfire targeting various areas in the city of Rafah.

In Gaza Governorate, Israeli fighters launched a series of raids, targeting a house in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood and a residential building in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.
