An Israeli soldier was seriously wounded on Sunday in Gaza, while the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced the targeting of a house in which occupation soldiers were barricaded in the Jabalia camp. It also – in conjunction with the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement – adopted a similar attack in Beit Lahia, north of the besieged Palestinian Strip.

The occupation army confirmed – in an official statement – that a soldier from the Givati Brigade was injured in battles in northern Gaza, adding that the soldier was transferred to receive treatment, and his family was informed of the incident.

Meanwhile, the occupation army radio reported that this soldier “was seriously injured as a result of the collapse of a building in Jabalia” in the northern Gaza Strip.

The death toll of the Israeli army, since the beginning of its recent ground invasion of the northern Gaza Strip on October 5, 2024, has risen to more than 41 soldiers, according to the occupation army radio.

Resistance is embraced

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades announced the targeting of a house where occupation soldiers were holed up in the Jabalia camp.

The brigades said in a statement, “Our mujahideen were able to carry out a raid against a house in which a number of enemy soldiers were holed up in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.”

It added that its fighters were able – before their withdrawal – to “detonate an explosive device left by the enemy in the same building, and helicopters were observed landing to evacuate the dead and wounded.”

In conjunction with the Al-Qassam Brigades, Al-Saraya announced that it targeted a group of soldiers from the occupation army in northern Gaza.

It stated in a statement that it, in conjunction with the Al-Qassam Brigades, killed and wounded 10 Zionist soldiers in a clash west of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.

Last week, an Israeli soldier was killed, and 7 others were injured, including three with “serious” wounds, as a result of an anti-tank missile targeting a house in which they were holed up in the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.

At that time, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said, “An attack by a Palestinian gunman, using an anti-tank missile, targeted a house in Beit Hanoun in which soldiers were holed up, killing one of them and wounding 7 others, including three who were seriously injured.”

Since last October 5, the Israeli army has continued its attack on the northern Gaza Strip, accompanied by bloody bombing and a tight siege that deprives residents of food, water and medicine.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 154,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly.
