The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced, Monday evening, that the number of martyrs since the beginning of the Israeli war had risen to 18,205, while the number of wounded reached 49,645.
This came after 208 people were martyred during the past hours, according to the ministry, which also indicated that there were a large number of victims under the rubble.
Ministry spokesman Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a press conference, “During the past hours, the occupation committed 19 horrific massacres and genocide in residential neighborhoods and shelters, including areas that it falsely claims are safe.”
On the 66th day of the war, the Israeli occupation army continued its intense bombardment of Gaza, from Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip to Deir al-Balah in the center and Khan Yunis and Rafah in the south.
Kamal Adwan Hospital
The occupation forces also continued to target hospitals, as Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip is under siege.
Hospital director Ahmed Al-Kahlot told Tel Aviv Tribune that the situation is very difficult, and that Israeli drones are bombing anyone leaving or entering the hospital.
Al-Kahlot added, “We have 65 infections, 12 children in intensive care, 6 premature babies, and 3,000 displaced people.”
Meanwhile, the occupation forces stormed a number of schools housing displaced people in the Fallujah area in the northern Gaza Strip.
Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that Israeli forces stormed schools, expelled women and children from them, and arrested the men.
Witnesses reported that a state of fear prevailed among women and children who left schools under the whizzing of bullets and Israeli bombing fire.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that there is fear for the lives of hundreds of thousands of displaced people due to the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases in shelters.
This comes as schools, various shelter centers and hospitals are crowded with tens of thousands of displaced people.
86 journalists were martyred
At the same time, the government media office in the Gaza Strip announced that the number of journalists martyred during the Israeli war had risen to 86.
The office published the names of these journalists, the last of whom was Muhammad Abu Samra, who was martyred yesterday, Sunday.
The government media office in Gaza said in a statement, “Israel’s assassination of Palestinian journalists comes in an attempt to distort the Palestinian narrative and obscure the truth.”
