The new Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced on Tuesday the formation of a government, its main nucleus, a team in charge of relations with the United States.
Carney was elected in late April against the background of his pledge to confront the threats of US President Donald Trump with a commercial war and by Canada for the United States.
After his victory, he pledged to launch “the largest transformation in the Canadian economy since the end of World War II” to build a “strong” state, at a time when the ninth economy in the world faces an unprecedented crisis.
The Canadian government includes 28 ministers, and Carney included new figures and at the same time retained the ministers involved in talks with the Trump administration for weeks.
“This team is designed to achieve the change that the Canadians want and deserve,” Raisir Ministers said in a statement.
He added that this team must launch “new ideas” and “attract investments to build a new Canadian economy capable of facing future shocks.”
