The most prominent developments on the 98th day of the Israeli war on Gaza News

On the 98th day of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces continue to bomb the Strip and commit massacres one after another. The Ministry of Health in Gaza counted that Israel committed 13 massacres within 24 hours, killing more than 151 martyrs.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that violent clashes are taking place between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation forces, in the Maghazi camp and the Zawaida neighborhood in the central Gaza Strip, in addition to the city of Khan Yunis in the south of the Strip.

Meanwhile, the Ansar Allah Houthi group in Yemen pledged to respond to the American-British attacks that targeted a number of its sites, causing deaths and injuries. While European countries supported the attacks, Russia criticized them and called for the Security Council to convene, and Arab countries expressed their concern about the current developments.

Court of Justice

The International Court of Justice adjourned its session, today, Friday, after hearing the Israeli legal team in the case of committing genocide in Gaza, while South Africa, the plaintiff, said that Tel Aviv failed to respond to the evidence presented.

The court’s judges will examine the arguments of both parties after they heard – Thursday – the justifications and evidence presented by South Africa, and then the Israeli response on Friday.

The court is expected to issue a ruling this month on a possible urgent decision ordering Israel to stop the war, but it will not quickly rule on genocide charges because this issue may take years.

For his part, South African Minister of Justice Ronald Lamola said – in a press conference in front of the court in The Hague – that Israel failed to respond to the evidence presented by his country, and did not provide anything to refute the facts of which it was accused.

Lamola described the Israeli responses as “unbalanced” and said that Tel Aviv seemed unable to condemn the actions of its soldiers, stressing that the statements of Israeli officials regarding the genocide could not be ignored.

Israeli losses

A recent opinion poll showed that only 29% of Israelis believe that current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is most suitable to head the government.

The survey comes at a time when the occupation army continues to lose ground in Gaza, with 15 Israeli soldiers injured over the past 24 years, bringing the total number of casualties since October 7 to 2,511 soldiers and officers, and to more than 5,000 injured, according to Israeli media sources.

The death toll rises

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that violent clashes are taking place between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation forces, in the Al-Maghazi camp and the Al-Zawaida neighborhood in the central Gaza Strip, in conjunction with continuous air and artillery bombardment.

The correspondent confirmed that this evening, Israeli warplanes launched a series of violent raids on residential neighborhoods west and south of Gaza City, and that violent Israeli artillery shelling targeted Al-Maghazi camp, amid intense firing of smoke bombs.

This comes as the Ministry of Health announced that the toll of the Israeli aggression since last October 7 had risen to 23,708 dead, and 60,050 injured.

At the same time, Palestinian news websites reported that gunfire targeted the Kfar Etzion settlement, established on the lands of the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.

The Houthis are threatening

The Ansar Allah Houthi group in Yemen announced that all American and British interests have become legitimate targets for its forces, in response to the air strikes launched by Washington and London on targets of the group at dawn on Friday, while the Pentagon confirmed that the raids conveyed a clear message to the Houthis.

A statement by the group said, “The treacherous and blatant American-British aggression against the nation is an illegitimate and unjustified aggression that violates all international laws, and is the real threat to international peace and security.”

The Houthi group stressed that ending naval operations in the Red Sea is contingent on ending the siege and stopping the aggression and war of extermination against the Gaza Strip, stressing the continued prevention of Israeli ships, regardless of the American and British aggression against our people.

On the other hand, Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said in a statement to Tel Aviv Tribune: “We conducted a military operation against military targets in Houthi-controlled areas,” adding that the results of the strikes are now being evaluated, “and our initial indicators say that the results are very good.”

Hours after the attack, tens of thousands of Yemenis gathered in several cities today to denounce the American-British strikes that targeted Houthi military sites in response to their attacks in the Red Sea.

On the official side, the internationally recognized Yemeni government held the Houthi group responsible for dragging the country into a military confrontation, noting that the American-British military operation is the result of the Houthi group’s continued targeting of international navigation in the Red Sea.
