On the 90th day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the Palestinian resistance factions, led by the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – continued to fiercely confront the occupation forces penetrating the center and south of the Gaza Strip, despite the continued air strikes that left more martyrs and destruction.

The resistance announced the launch of a new round of missiles targeting the city of Ashkelon and the areas of the northern Gaza envelope, while the occupation acknowledged more losses, as it announced that its rescue unit evacuated more than a thousand wounded people since the start of the ground operation in Gaza.

While the mutual bombing continued between the Lebanese Hezbollah and the occupation army across the border, Amos Hochstein, the US President’s envoy, arrived in Tel Aviv in an effort to “stop the escalation in Lebanon and the region.”

High death toll

For its part, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the occupation forces committed 13 massacres against Palestinian families, killing 125 martyrs and 318 injured during the past 24 hours.

Thus, the death toll rises – according to the ministry – to 22,438 martyrs and 57,614 injured since the start of the aggression on the seventh of last October.

Resistance operations

Clashes continued between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces in the middle and south of the Gaza Strip, while Israeli attempts continued to enter the Bureij camp, where violent explosions rang out, and artillery shelling continued on the neighborhoods of Gaza City.

Clashes also continued in the eastern regions of Khan Yunis Governorate, while Israeli artillery shelling continued on the east of the city, and air strikes continued on its central and western parts.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said that they detonated a high-explosive device with an Israeli force on foot inside a house north of the Nuseirat camp, killing and wounding them. It also targeted tanks west of the Maghazi camp.

In turn, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – said that it bombed the city of Ashkelon and the areas of the northern Gaza Strip with a concentrated missile salvo. The Ashkelon Municipality said that the Iron Dome intercepted two rocket shells in the sky of the city this morning.

Israeli media reported that a large missile salvo was fired from Gaza, and that the sound of sirens was heard in Ashkelon and other areas in the south.

New losses to the occupation

For its part, the Israeli army announced that 19 of its soldiers and officers were injured in the battles taking place in Gaza during the past 24 hours.

At a time when the occupation army acknowledged that its 669 Rescue Unit evacuated more than a thousand wounded people since the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip on October 27 last year.

On the other hand, the occupation army modified the number of Israeli detainees in Gaza, as the Israeli military spokesman said that 3 Israelis who were missing were found to be “kidnapped,” thus raising the number of detainees in Gaza to 136.

Developments in the West Bank

In the West Bank, a young Palestinian man was killed by occupation bullets in the town of Tammoun in Tubas, northeast of the West Bank, at a time when resistance fighters clashed with the occupation army in several areas of the West Bank.

The Israeli army ended its storming of the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm, which was described as the largest since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza, and completely withdrew its forces after a military operation that lasted about 40 hours.

The occupation army said – in a statement – that it carried out a large operation in the Nour Shams camp, pointing to a campaign of arrests and field interrogations, the “destruction of the capabilities” of Palestinian militants, and the discovery of weapons.

Reuters quoted residents in the camp that the occupation forces arrested at least 120 people and demolished 3 homes, including the home of a member of the Tulkarm Brigades.

Lebanese Front

In Lebanon, the city of Beirut mourned the funeral of the martyr Saleh Al-Arouri, deputy head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, and the movement’s leaders Azzam Al-Aqra’ and Muhammad Al-Rayes, who were assassinated by Israel in the southern suburbs on Tuesday evening.

At a time when the intensity of the bombing between the Lebanese Hezbollah and Israel in southern Lebanon escalated, with the party announcing the killing of 4 of its members in an Israeli bombing last night on a house in the border town of Naqoura, bringing the party’s death toll to 147 people since the eighth of last October.

The party also announced that it had carried out 10 operations against Israeli sites and gatherings, and said that it had attacked the vicinity of the barracks of Branit, Doviv, Zibdin, and Zarit, and had also attacked gatherings of occupation soldiers in the sites of Jal al-Alam, al-Malikiyah, Ruwaisat al-Alam, and Bayad Blida.

For its part, the Israeli army announced that its air force had targeted a Hezbollah cell that attempted to launch anti-armor missiles towards Israeli territory. The army also targeted Hezbollah observation sites and infrastructure in the town of Maroun al-Ras and several other sites, in southern Lebanon.
