The 88th day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza witnessed a pivotal development with the Israeli assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri, deputy head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), and two leaders of the Al-Qassam Brigades, in a drone attack on a building in the southern suburb of Beirut.
While the occupation continued to bomb civilians and commit massacres in the Gaza Strip, the total death toll exceeded 22,000, and the number of injured rose to more than 57,000, while the occupation army announced more losses.
The assassination of Al-Arouri
The head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, mourned those who described him as the “jihadi leader,” Saleh Al-Arawi, the Qassam leaders Samir Fandi and Azzam Al-Aqra’, and 4 of “Hamas cadres and sons.”
In his speech, Haniyeh considered that the occupation’s assassination of Al-Arouri and his fellow movement leaders was a “full-fledged terrorist act” and a violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, stressing that the occupation would not succeed in breaking the will of steadfastness and resistance among the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance.
Despite Tel Aviv’s evasiveness in claiming responsibility for the assassination, its ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, congratulated the Israeli army, Shin Bet, Mossad, and security forces on the assassination of Al-Arouri, while the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked the ministers not to comment on the matter.
The death toll rises
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression that has been ongoing for about three months on the Strip has risen to 22,185 martyrs and 57,53 injured since last October 7.
The Ministry confirmed that the occupation committed 15 massacres in the Gaza Strip, in which 207 Palestinians were martyred and 338 injured within 24 hours.
Resistance operations
For its part, the resistance continued its operations against the occupation army, as the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, broadcast images of the targeting of an Israeli special force inside a building with an anti-fortified TPG missile in the center of Jabalia al-Balad in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, also broadcast new scenes from an operation it described as qualitative, in which it targeted an Israeli command and control site south of Gaza City.
For his part, Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, announced the complete or partial destruction of 71 military vehicles within 4 days. Abu Ubaida added that Al-Qassam fighters confirmed the killing of 16 Israeli soldiers, wounding dozens of people with varying degrees of injury, and carried out 42 military missions that left a number of Israeli soldiers dead and wounded, noting that they targeted a number of occupation forces with missiles and anti-fortification devices and individuals and clashed with them from zero distance.
Al-Qassam spokesman said that they booby-trapped two houses and two tunnels against Israeli soldiers, and detonated mines in Israeli vehicles, in addition to carrying out two sniper operations and targeting a helicopter.
4 martyrs in the West Bank
In conjunction with the war on Gaza, this morning 4 young men were martyred and another was injured by bullets from the occupation forces in the Al-Fajah area, west of the town of Azzun, east of the city of Qalqilya in the northern West Bank.
Activists reported that the occupation soldiers assassinated the young men after besieging them in a house after the area witnessed clashes between resistance fighters and the occupation forces during the last hours, while the Israeli army announced that an officer was moderately injured during the clashes.
The occupation forces also continued their raids in the West Bank, as they stormed the Jalazoun camps north of Ramallah and Ain al-Sultan in Jericho in the morning, while they withdrew their vehicles from the city and its camp following violent clashes with resistance fighters.
Lebanese Front
Lebanese Hezbollah announced on Tuesday that it had carried out a series of operations against Israeli sites, including a drone attack on a military headquarters, while the Israeli army said it had bombed sites belonging to the party in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah said that it targeted, with a strike march, the newly established 91st Command Headquarters of the Israeli forces in Illit, northeast of Safed, and that it hit its target accurately, according to a statement published by the party.
On the other hand, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that Israeli drones targeted the outskirts of the towns of Blida and Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon.
Israeli aircraft also launched a raid between the towns of Yaroun and Bint Jbeil, while Israeli artillery bombed the outskirts of the towns of Hula, Markab, Aitaroun, Alma Al-Shaab, Al-Dhahira, and Tayr Harf.
