The Ministry of Health in Gaza reveals: Only 6 ambulances are fit for use News


The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip said that the Israeli occupation is still targeting health personnel by bombing and arresting, which led to the death of dozens.

The Ministry indicated in a press conference in front of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in the northern Gaza Strip that the infrastructure, health and service infrastructure in Rafah is fragile and cannot bear the needs of 1.3 million citizens and displaced persons.

She also revealed that there are only 6 ambulances left suitable for use in the Strip, noting their struggle to operate some basic services, including intensive care units and nurseries.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip warned of the spread of epidemics among the displaced and the population, especially children and the elderly, and called on the international community and human rights organizations to actively seek the occupation to release its medical teams.

In the same context, the ministry said, “We call on the international community and human rights institutions to help re-establish the health system in the sector, and to introduce devices, equipment, medicines, and medical supplies.”

The institutions of the international community also called for allowing the entry of medical personnel from outside the Gaza Strip to assist, in addition to allowing patients to leave the Strip to receive treatment due to the lack of resources to provide them with treatment.

On the 99th day of the war, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip, since October 7, had risen to 23,843 martyrs and 60,317 injured.
