Israel has a black record in pursuing the ships of the Freedom Fleet to break the siege on the Gaza Strip, through the embargo, obstruction and incursions to the bombing of the enlightenings, which was monitored by the “Observatory” program in its episode on (12/5/2025).
The “Freedom Flotilla” is a series of humanitarian initiatives organized by the “Freedom Fleet Alliance” since 2010, to break the siege imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities on the Gaza Strip since 2007.
The Freedom Fleet consists of a group of ships loaded with humanitarian aid directed across the sea to the Palestinian people in the Strip, in which civil society volunteers of different nationalities participated.
During the period from 2010-2024, the Freedom Flotilla coalition was organizing 6 caravans, the most famous of which was the first freedom fleet in 2010, whose ship “Mavi Marmara” was subjected to an Israeli military attack behind 10 dead and dozens of wounded, and the women’s freedom fleet in 2016.
However, the second of May was absolutely different, as Israel bombed through its paths the “conscience” ship off the beaches of Malta when it was preparing to download aid and try to sail later on the shores of Gaza.
On board the ship was about 30 activists, including a Turkish young man, who had lost his father 15 years ago during the bloody Israeli storming of the Turkish “Mavi Marmara” ship.
Israel began pursuing the ships of breaking the siege since the late eighties of the last century, as the “Return” ship – which was carrying Palestinian deportees, activists and journalists – was subjected to obstruction and sabotage, according to what the “observatory” reviewed.
Despite these tragic incidents, 3 ships have already managed to break the Israeli siege and reach the beaches of the Gaza Strip.
What happened in Spain and Portugal?
In a second story, the “Observatory” dealt with the repercussions of the comprehensive darkness that struck Spain and part of Portugal due to the mysterious interruption of the electric current.
The two countries lived – on April 28, 2025 – dark darkness, panic between the population and paralysis in most aspects of life, after a comprehensive interruption of electricity throughout Spain and large parts of Portugal and southern France, in addition to the state of Andorra, which is the youngest country of the Iberian Peninsula.
The residents returned to the use of candles and batteries, and they resorted to radio devices to investigate news and safety guidelines after everything stopped working, and TV screens were extinguished and smartphone energy was extinguished.
The “Observatory” highlighted the early hours of the chaos and the comprehensive darkness that struck those countries, and referred to the European positions of how this crisis and the ongoing investigations to reveal their causes and face their future repercussions.
The relevant authorities, especially in Spain, did not provide healing answers to its citizens about the real causes of the sudden and unprecedented power outages in the country.
However, experts did not rule out the hypothesis of cybersecurity on the network, which is the most dangerous and black scenario that European Union leaders fear, as well as technical holiday hypotheses and consumption pressures.
