The Israeli Bombing of Gaza kills 92 in two days: Ministry of Health | News Israel-Palestine Conflict

According to health officials.

Israeli attacks killed 92 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in the past two days, according to the Ministry of Health of the Territory.

The attacks, which took place from April 17 to 19, also left at least 219 people injured and hospitalized, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday, with dozens of others still trapped under the rubble or in areas that rescuers cannot reach.

The wave of bloodshed intervenes while Israel is pressing a six -week aid blockade and requires Hamas to be disarmed before any truce can be agreed. The armed group has categorically refused the request and insists that a permanent cease-fire must be part of any agreement.

At least 15 children, affected during an air raid at night on tents in Khan Younis, were among the victims, according to the press release. A raid on Rafah killed a mother and her daughter alongside two others, according to the European hospital where their bodies were taken.

“For the vast majority of civilians, the night is the moment of horror and implacable pain,” said Tareq Azzoum of Tel Aviv Tribune, reported by Central Gaza. “No one is safe at home, in makeshift tents, in travel camps.”

“Less than one meal a day”

After restarting his military campaign on March 18 following a brief ceasefire, Israel is committed to intensifying his 18-month war against Gaza and occupying large “security zones” inside the band.

Since March 2, he has also blocked the entry of food, fuel and aid in the enclave, defying an order from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) that it should allow humanitarian access.

Help groups warn the exhaustion food.

“Children eat less than one meal a day and find it difficult to find their next meal,” said Bushra Khalidi, Oxfam orientation chief. “Malnutrition and famine pockets are permanently occurring in Gaza.”

Earlier this week, Hamas rejected an Israeli proposal to take a break while fighting for 45 days if the Palestinian group publishes 10 live captives and agrees to disarm.

“The request for disarmament Hamas is not even acceptable to hear,” said Sami Abu Zuhri, head of Hamas. “It’s not just a red line. It’s a million red lines.”

Hamas has proposed to release all the remaining captives – supposed to be around 58 although several died – in exchange for a permanent end of the war and the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army.

The number of deaths in Gaza has now reached 51,065, with 116,505 injured, according to the Ministry of Health.

“We can see the very psychological assessment of the city on the faces of all here, people walk very exhausted, traumatized,” said Abu Azzoum. “They think of the dark future awaiting them.”
