Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari announced the killing of 4 Israeli detainees who were together in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip several months ago, adding that the circumstances of their deaths are still under investigation, and their bodies are still in the Strip.

The occupation army said that it informed the families of 4 prisoners in Gaza of their deaths and that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) kept their bodies.

The Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Hamas movement – announced on December 23 that it had lost contact with the group responsible for 5 of the prisoners, but on March 1 it confirmed the killing of 7 Israeli prisoners as a result of the Israeli bombing, including 3 prisoners. Hagari announced them.

Israeli confirmation

This comes at a time when Kibbutz Nirim recently confirmed the killing of the prisoner held by Hamas, Nadav Bublabil, who holds British citizenship. The movement had previously announced his death after an Israeli targeted his place of detention.

On May 11, the Al-Qassam Brigades broadcast a new video entitled “What Happened?” Nadav Boublabil (51 years old) appeared with the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

The video was accompanied by text in Arabic that said, “Prisoner Nadav Boublabel, a British national, died today after being seriously injured a month ago along with prisoner Judy Feinstein.”

The Al-Qassam Brigades added that Bublabil and his mother were detained in the Gaza Strip, and that “the mother was released in an exchange deal, and the son remained facing his fate of death.”

The video clip shows that military pressure – which the occupation believes will lead to the release of prisoners – will only lead to death and failure, while the exchange deal is the way to guarantee freedom and life.

Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, previously announced the killing of more than 70 prisoners as a result of the Israeli army’s military operations in the Gaza Strip.
