The Israeli army announces the killing of an officer and includes the Seventh Brigade to fight in Khan Yunis News

Israeli Army Radio reported that a seventh brigade had joined the fight in the battles of Khan Yunis, south of Gaza, while the occupation army announced on Friday that an officer had been killed and another officer and soldier seriously injured during battles in the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the number of its wounded to 51 within two days.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that a military helicopter from the Israeli Rescue Unit transported wounded soldiers to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba this morning.

The Israeli army said in a statement that Captain (reserve) Harel Sharfeit (33 years old) in the army’s “7008th” battalion was killed in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip, noting that “an officer and a soldier from the College of Military Engineering were seriously injured.”

The officially announced number of those killed by the Israeli army since the start of the ground operation in Gaza on October 27 of last year has risen to 174 and 936 wounded, and the total number of those killed since the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7 of last year has also risen to 502, between an officer and a soldier.

Since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the Israeli army has launched a devastating aggression against Gaza, which as of today, Friday, has left more than 21,000 martyrs and 55,000 injured, most of them children and women, in addition to massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to the Gaza Strip authorities and the United Nations.
