The Israeli army announced – today, Wednesday, that it was killed in Hezbollah, accusing it of being involved in “directing” groups in Syria to fire shells towards the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, in an air strike on the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon.
He said in a statement that one of his aircraft “attacked the Bekaa region yesterday evening in Lebanon and eliminated the so -called Hossam Qasim Ghorab,” noting that the latter “directed terrorist cells in Syria to firing rocket -propelled grenades towards the Golan Heights” occupied by Israel since 1967.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced – in a statement yesterday – that “an Israeli enemy raid on a car in the town of Brital led to the fall of a martyr,” the Lebanese News Agency reported that the attack was carried out by an Israeli escape and targeted 3 civilian car missions.
On October 8, 2023, Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon that turned into a widespread war on September 23, 2024, which resulted in more than 4 thousand dead and about 17 thousand wounded.
On November 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel began in force, but the latter violated it more than 3 thousand times, which resulted in 268 dead and 567 wounded, according to official data.
In a challenge to the ceasefire agreement, the Israeli army carried out a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon, while the occupation of 5 Lebanese hills controlled during the last war.
Israel stresses that it will not allow Hezbollah to rebuild its capabilities after the war, during which it received severe strikes in terms of military and leadership structure, especially the assassination of its Secretary -General Hassan Nasrallah.
