The so-called “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” announced on Friday morning the bombing of an air base inside Israel, while there was no response from the occupation army.
The Iraqi resistance said, in a statement published on the Telegram platform, that it targeted, by drone, the Ramat David Air Base inside the occupied Palestinian territories.
She stressed the continuation of “destroying enemy strongholds, in completion of the second phase of operations to resist the occupation, in support of our people in Gaza and Rafah, and in response to the Zionist massacres against defenseless Palestinian civilians.”
The “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” is a loose military formation, and a general name that includes a number of armed Iraqi factions and groups supported by Iran, that appeared after the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
It has announced more than once the implementation of operations targeting American bases in Iraq and Syria and sites within the “occupied Palestinian territories.”
