The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is witnessing a continuous deterioration, while Israeli threats continue to expand military operations to occupy the entire sector.
According to episode (6/26/6/6) of the “Path of Events” program, the Israeli mini cabinet for Israeli security and political affairs (cabinet) will discuss a military plan on Thursday that includes summoning 4 to 6 military teams to occupy Gaza City and camps in the central Gaza Strip, while encouraging Palestinians to leave the sector in an operation that may take 4 to 5 months.
In light of these military developments, the World Food Program stressed the arrival of hunger and malnutrition in Gaza to the worst levels since the war began two years ago, stressing the need to introduce large -scale food aid without obstacle.
On the international level, the former European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, explained the existence of a major division within the union on the position on the crisis.
Borrell pointed out that countries such as Spain, Ireland, Belgium and Slovenia speak strongly and clearly about the situation and demand European institutions to take a strong position, while other countries refuse to take any decision.
The former European Union’s supreme representative also admitted to submit multiple proposals to use the second paragraph of the link with Israel and the abolition of political relations, but these proposals were severely rejected.
Borrell stressed that there are no sufficient member states to support these decisions, which reflects the size of the European division.
European contradiction
In the same European context, British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer spoke about the need to do everything possible to alleviate the terrible situation in Gaza, noting the need to supply the sector with large quantities of aid.
Starmer announced that his country will recognize a Palestinian state next September if Israel does not agree to address the humanitarian crisis.
However, Borrell criticized the contradiction in the British position, as London talks about recognizing Palestine as its aircraft continued to fly over the Strip to provide the Israeli army with intelligence information, and this contradiction was considered part of the deep crisis experienced by European countries.
On the Palestinian side, the Secretary -General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Mustafa Al -Barghouthi, described what is going on as a plan to exterminate the Palestinian presence.
He explained that the goal is not merely the re -occupation of Gaza, but rather an ethnic cleansing of the residents of the Strip by forcing them to move to a detention camp in an area between the Morag Corridor and Philadelphia and then forcing them to leave permanently.
In this context, the Secretary -General of the Palestinian National Initiative criticized the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which killed more than 1,300 people while trying to reach aid, and wounded more than 7,000 others.
Al -Barghouti considered this mechanism a form of starvation management, not the provision of humanitarian aid.
American support
In contrast to the European hesitation, the Republican Strategic Analyst, Adolfo Franco, confirmed the continued full American support of Israel.
Franco explained that President Donald Trump will support the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, who is required with the International Criminal Court, during the next thirty days if it decides to occupy the rest of the Strip, noting that 17 to 20% of Gaza is still outside Israeli control.
The American strategic analyst held the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) responsible for the continuation of the war, stressing that his country will support Israeli military measures if the movement does not abandon the authority and agrees to a temporary ceasefire, according to his opinion.
Despite the divided official positions, Barghouti pointed to a significant change in world public opinion, as the people began to rebel against their governments due to the injustice against the Palestinian people.
The Secretary -General of the National Initiative considered that the European and American official media could not prevent the truth from reaching the people, which led to a change of public opinion positions.
Borrell affirmed this direction, by indicating that there is a great battle between the novels in European societies; The Israeli novel that denies the occurrence of a human tragedy and blames Hamas, the novel of the United Nations and international organizations that confirm the existence of real famine due to the closure of the borders and the prevention of the entry of trucks.
Amid this division, Franco defended the Gaza Humanitarian Corporation as a mechanism to distribute aid under the auspices of the United States and the United Nations, stressing the possibility of solving the problem immediately if Hamas agreed to a ceasefire.
American analyst Hamas accused the suffering of its people for diplomatic gains.
However, Al -Barghouti strongly rejected these accusations, confirming the Palestinian side’s readiness to reach the ceasefire agreement, and that Netanyahu and the American envoy to the Middle East Steve Wittouf are those who regret the agreement after he was about to verify.
The Secretary -General of the National Initiative asked about the reason for not talking about 12,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the continuous talk about 20 Israeli prisoners, which reflects the depth of disparity in dealing with the crisis from all parties.
