The military spokesman for the Ansar Allah group (Houthis), Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said that their forces targeted 3 ships, including one American and one Israeli, in the Indian Ocean.
He added – in a recorded military statement – that the Houthis targeted two American destroyers in the Red Sea with the marches.
On the other hand, the US Central Command announced the destruction of a drone early Tuesday morning, which it said was launched by Ansar Allah fighters over the Red Sea.
The US Central Command added that this march represented an imminent threat to commercial ships in the region, and that these measures are being taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer for ships.

On the other hand, China called for an end to attacks on civilian ships in the Red Sea and to ensure the safety of navigation there.
In a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Yemeni counterpart Shayea Mohsen al-Zindani in Beijing on Tuesday, Wang said that China is ready to continue to play a constructive role in this matter, according to a statement by the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The Houthi attacks began in the Red Sea last November, and the group says that it targets Israeli ships associated with Israel or those heading to it, in order to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.
On May 3, the group announced the start of a fourth phase of its attacks, which began last October by targeting sites in southern Israel with missiles and drones.
