The military spokesman for the Ansar Allah group (Houthis), Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced the implementation of two military operations in the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea.
According to a quick statement, the first operation targeted a cargo ship called Transworld Navigator in the Arabian Sea using ballistic missiles.
He pointed out that this targeting came in response to what he described as a violation by the company that owned the ship of the decision to ban entry into the ports of occupied Palestine.
As for the second operation, Saree stated that it targeted the US aircraft carrier “Eisenhower” in the northern Red Sea with ballistic and winged missiles.
The spokesman confirmed the success of both operations, pointing out that their goal was to win what he described as the oppression of the Palestinian people.
In “solidarity with Gaza” in the face of the ongoing Israeli war since October 7, 2023, the Houthi group has begun, since November, targeting Israeli cargo ships or those linked to them in the Red Sea with missiles and drones.
In response to these attacks, the United States and Britain, since the beginning of this year, began launching air strikes and missile attacks on “Houthi sites” in Yemen, which the group responded to by announcing that it now considered all American and British ships among its military targets, and expanding its attacks to ships passing through the Arabian Sea and the Ocean.
