The armed branch of Hamas announced this Friday that six Israeli hostages will be well released this Saturday, as planned. The list of names corresponds to that published this week by the hostage families forum.
The Ezzedine al-Qassam brigades said in a statement published this Friday that the release of the hostages would take place as planned. In Israel, the hostage families forum had published the names of the six hostages in question at the start of the week. Their identity was confirmed by the Prime Minister’s office this Friday.
They are Eliya Cohen, Tal Shoham, Omer Shem Tov, Omer Wenkert, Hicham al-Sayed and Avera Mengistu.
Omer WenkertIsraeli-Argentinian who was 23 years old in captivity, had been removed during the Tribe of Nova festival.
Omer Shem-Tov22, had also been kidnapped at the Rave-Party.
Eliya Cohenfrom Tzour Hadassa, near Jerusalem, was also removed during the same festival. He would suffer from malnutrition and would have been tortured. He was 27 years old in captivity.
Tal ShohamIsraeli-Austrian who was 40 years old at the end of January, had been kidnapped with his wife and their children at Kibbutz in Beeri.
Avera Mengistu And Hicham al-Sayed are the only two to have not been removed during the October 7 attack. The first is an Israeli of Ethiopian origin, suffering from mental disorders and retained in Gaza for ten years, after he had passed the border of his own chief. Hicham al-Sayed, a 36-year-old Israeli Arabic, is the origin of a Bedouin village of the Negev desert. He too entered the Gaza Strip of his own free will in April 2015.
