Today, Thursday, Palestinians, the body of the martyr Awda Al -Hathalin, 31, in the village of “Umm Al -Khair” in the traveler of Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, after Israel surrendered his body more than a week after his martyrdom with a settler fire.

The body of the martyr Al -Hathalin was made amid strict security measures imposed by the occupation forces on all areas of Mesafir Yatta, which included the monument of barriers and the closure of all roads leading to the villages and gatherings of the traveler.

The funeral procession started from the house of the martyr’s brother in the village of Umm Al -Khair after the occupation forces prevented the body of the body.

After he took a look at him, he was transferred to Al -Saraya Secondary School in which the martyr was working as a teacher, where he was examined by the pathologist, and the mourners performed the funeral prayer for him before his body was buried in the cemetery of Umm Al -Khair.

Al -Hathalin was killed by a settler fire with a bullet fired directly on his head from a distance on Monday, July 28, during his attempt to confront the storming of the land of citizens in Khirbet, and the occupation detained his body.

In the village of Umm Al -Khair, the family’s headquarters, Aziz Al -Hathalin said that his martyr brother “was killed in the hands of a hateful settler and held his body for 11 days, and more than 20 people from the village were arrested” in the aftermath of the accident that occurred in late July in the south of the West Bank, adding that the deadly settler was released at the same moment.

It was forbidden to reach citizens and press crews and a large number of foreign solidarity to participate and cover the funeral of the martyr Al -Hathalin, and despite this, the people, with the participation of a large number of foreign solidarity, were able to funeral his body, amid a state of anger and extreme sadness.

The French Press Agency quoted Ibrahim Al -Hathalin, a resident of Umm al -Khair, as saying, “We were prevented from receiving the body of the martyr” for days after his death, while Aziz said that Israel had set several conditions for the family to allow the funeral to be held.

“The first condition is that he is not buried in the area at all, and the second is the lack of a consolation tent,” said Ibrahim, who is also close to the return of Al -Hathalin.

The activist’s brother considered that the Israeli measures aimed to prevent the establishment of a large gathering that would draw attention to his anti -Israeli settlement activity in the traveler of Yatta.

No other land

The martyr Al -Hathalin is married and a father of three children of the homeland, Muhammad, and Kanan, the largest of whom did not exceed the sixth.

The name of the return of the Hathalin was linked to the documentary “No other land”, which is the best foreign movie, which focuses on the struggle of the Palestinians in the traveler of Yatta and other small villages such as Umm al -Khair, to prevent the Israeli forces from destroying their homes.

The Israeli occupation government criticized the film strongly, considering its victory “a sad moment for cinema”, because it shows the reality of the catastrophe and the ethnic cleansing it exercises, which the Israeli novel rejects.

On July 29, an Israeli court released the settler, Yanon Levy, who is accused of killing the return of the two, and decided to transfer him to home imprisonment, despite the documentation of the murder in video clips, and despite the inclusion of the murderous colonizer formerly on the sanctions lists in the United States, Canada and Britain.

And the traveler of Yatta, where the return of the two people lived, was an area in the south of the city of Hebron, which was declared by Israel.

The struggle of the Palestinian population against the settlement expansion and the violence of the Israeli forces and the settlers was the subject of the movie “No Land”, which won the Oscar of the Best Documentary Film last March.

After the killing of Al -Hathalin, the co -director of the film, Yaval Abraham, published a video of the incident on Instagram, in which a man appeared, known as Levy, and he was defaming a pistol and quarreling with a group of people.
