Qatar News Agency reported that a plane arrived on Monday carrying the fifth batch of wounded Palestinians in the Gaza Strip with the aim of treating them, in coordination with the authorities in Egypt.

This Qatari step comes within the initiative of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to treat 1,500 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. Doha stressed that this initiative comes within the framework of the State of Qatar’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people, especially during the difficult humanitarian conditions they are currently exposed to.

Qatar also evacuated 89 Palestinians holding Qatari residency from the Gaza Strip, via the city of Al-Arish, via a Qatari Armed Forces plane, in coordination with the Egyptian government.
