The fake news on the death of Charles III came on Monday from the pro-Kremlin Russian channels Mash or Readkova.

Both have millions of followers.

As proof, the channels relayed a false press release attributed to Buckingham Palace.

The misinformation quickly went viral and spread on March 18, without there being any confirmation or official announcement from the royal family.

The British Embassy in Ukraine issued a denial to “inform that the news of the death of King Charles III” was “false.”

Conspiracy theories about the royal family have recently been spreading due to the absence of its members of the public due to health reasons.
