On Saturday morning, the Israeli occupation army expanded evacuation orders for the Palestinian residents of the city of Rafah, the last refuge for the displaced in the Gaza Strip, asking them to go to the northwest of the city, despite international warnings, while the occupation army carried out intense bombardment on several areas in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee, via the “X” platform, called on residents of the eastern neighborhoods of Rafah to go immediately to what he called the “expanded humanitarian zone” in Al-Mawasi, southwest of the Strip.

Through two photos he posted on his account, he issued an evacuation call for the residents of the Rafah and Shaboura camps and the Adari, Al-Jeneina, and Khirbet Al-Adas neighborhoods.

It is clear from the picture that the army wants to gather the displaced in Rafah in the Al-Mawasi area, located on the coastal strip of the Mediterranean Sea, extending over a distance of 12 kilometers and one kilometer deep, from Deir Al-Balah in the north, passing through Khan Yunis Governorate in the south, until the beginnings of Rafah in the far south.

The area is largely open and not residential. It also lacks infrastructure, sewage networks, electricity lines, communications networks, and the Internet, and most of its land is divided into agricultural or sand greenhouses.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that estimates indicate the displacement of 150,000 people so far from Rafah, at a time when Israel repeated its orders for further evacuation from Rafah towards the city center.

On the other hand, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that Israel’s attack on Rafah and the occupation of the crossing immediately after Hamas announced its approval of the mediators’ proposal confirms that the occupation is evading reaching an agreement.

Hamas confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government were using the negotiations as a cover to attack Rafah, occupy the crossing, and continue the war of extermination in Gaza, and held them fully responsible for obstructing reaching an agreement.

Hamas said that the attack on Rafah would not be a picnic, and that Gaza would always be a graveyard for the occupying invaders.

Intense bombardment

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army carried out intense bombardment on several areas in the Gaza Strip, causing many martyrs, and continued its operations east of Rafah. Al-Jazeera’s correspondent said that the occupation forces entered the Al-Farahin area, east of Abasan Al-Kabira, in Khan Yunis, and carried out extensive sweeping operations.

Eight Palestinians were also martyred and others were injured, as a result of the bombing that targeted the Abasan Al-Kabira area, east of the city of Khan Yunis, and the artillery and air strikes targeted the Khuza’a and Al-Farahin areas, east of Abasan Al-Kabira, and the Al-Fukhari area.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent stated that the Israeli occupation army raided the Al-Sikka area in the Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip. The reporter reported that ten people, including children, were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house for the Al-Khatib family in the town of Al-Zawaida in the central Gaza Strip.

The Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza is also subjected to violent Israeli bombardment by warplanes, resulting in martyrs and injuries.

The bodies of 20 martyrs arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah following an Israeli night bombardment on several areas in Gaza.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital

On the other hand, a doctor at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central Gaza Strip warned on Friday that the hospital would stop working after 48 hours due to a lack of fuel, which threatens the lives of the injured, sick, and premature babies in it.

Doctor Raed Hussein said that the lives of the injured, patients, and premature babies in the hospital are at risk if the hospital stops working, due to the lack of fuel needed to operate the electric generators in light of the closure of the crossings.

He added that the hospital is currently using reserve amounts of fuel to operate the electrical generators, which the hospital relies on in light of the power outage. The doctor pointed out that the hospital serves 600 injured people and 500 patients who need continuous dialysis, in addition to the presence of 24 premature babies in it.

The Palestinian doctor appealed to international institutions to work quickly to supply the hospital with fuel and necessary medical supplies.

Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, which has entered its eighth month, 33 hospitals, 54 health centers and 160 health institutions have been put out of service as a result of the Israeli bombing, according to statistics from the government information office in Gaza.

For the sixth day in a row, Israeli forces continue to close the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing on the border with Gaza, while the Rafah crossing on the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt continues to close for the fourth day after announcing control over the Palestinian side of it on Tuesday morning.

On Wednesday morning, the Israeli army claimed to reopen the Kerem Shalom crossing after its closure on Sunday, to bring aid into Gaza, in response to the request of US President Joe Biden, but the crossings authority denied the validity of reopening the crossing.

Since the closure of the two crossings, no humanitarian aid, fuel, medicines or medical supplies have entered the Gaza Strip, which threatens a humanitarian catastrophe, according to UN and official Palestinian warnings.
