The death toll in Gaza exceeds 22 thousand, and the Israeli withdrawal reveals widespread destruction News

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said – today, Tuesday – that the Israeli occupation forces committed 15 massacres during the past 24 hours, leaving 207 martyrs and 338 injured, bringing the total toll since the beginning of the war to 22,185 martyrs and 57,53 wounded.

Today, 4 Palestinians were martyred as a result of an Israeli bombing on the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and the occupation aircraft also launched a raid on the Juhr al-Dik area, east of the central region.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent said that the occupation targeted the eighth floor of the association’s headquarters in Khan Yunis, which led to a number of martyrs and wounded among the displaced.

At the same time, a large number of martyrs’ bodies arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that a child was killed and others were injured as a result of gunfire from an Israeli drone at the Nuseirat camp market in the central Gaza Strip.

The reporter also reported that a Palestinian was martyred and another injured in an Israeli bombing at the entrance to the Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent said that Israeli artillery shelling targeted the northern and eastern outskirts of Gaza City, and she also reported the outbreak of clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation forces in camps in the central Strip.

Scenes of destruction

Meanwhile, the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from the Old City of Gaza revealed widespread destruction to most of its sites, including the market and the Omari Mosque. Journalist Assem Al-Nabih for Tel Aviv Tribune monitored scenes of destruction from the spot.

The Fayrouz Towers area (northwest of Gaza City) was also turned into rubble after the occupation forces withdrew from the area, leaving destruction that hid its most prominent landmarks.

The withdrawal revealed the bodies of Palestinian martyrs left in the streets, some of them decomposed and some of them beginning to decompose.

Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the occupation army completed its withdrawal early on Tuesday from the port of Gaza City, the Beach camp, and the neighborhoods of Sheikh Radwan, Al-Daraj, Al-Shuja’iya, Al-Tuffah, and Al-Zaytoun.

The agency reported that Israeli forces repositioned themselves in the eastern outskirts of Sheikh Radwan, Al-Shuja’iya, Al-Zaytoun and Al-Tuffah.

This decline comes after the Israeli army demobilized a number of its brigades participating in the ground attack that began last October 27 on the Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, Adnan Abu Hasna, spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said that the agency began bringing aid into the Gaza and northern governorates a week ago, for the first time since the end of the temporary truce that lasted a week and ended on the first of last December.

Abu Hasna explained – in a statement to Anadolu Agency – that the average number of trucks entering daily for about a week is estimated at about 5-7 trucks, loaded with food supplies.

He stressed that this aid does not meet any of the needs of the residents of Gaza and the northern governorates, pointing out that tens of thousands of them are starving.

He also indicated that the humanitarian aid entering the Gaza Strip in general does not meet 7% of the population’s needs for all food and relief supplies.
