“This day reminds the nation’s unity to make Pakistan’s defenses an immense,” Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in a statement on May 27, 2025.
Sherif praised the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, who said one day that “the Pakistanis are ready to starve in exchange for their country to turn into a nuclear force,” and also thanked the Pakistani nuclear scientists for their role in the continuation of their country’s nuclear program.
The manifestations of the celebration in Pakistan abound on this day, as some Islamic parties and groups are organizing a visit to the tomb of Abdul Qudair Khan in the capital, Islamabad, to read Al -Fatihah on his soul in appreciation of his efforts in establishing and developing the Pakistani nuclear program.
