The blood of journalists exposes the lies of Israeli propaganda in Gaza policy

Coinciding with the one-year anniversary of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the “Observatory” program highlights two important aspects: the Israeli military propaganda strategy and the stories of journalists who paid with their lives for conveying the truth.

The program explains that Israeli television channels have turned into an internal front for media support in light of a war whose atrocities cannot be described in words. Israeli propaganda methods directed against the residents of the Gaza Strip have varied, and have finally extended to include the residents of Lebanon.

Israel used video clips, cartoons, warning maps, and phone messages to push residents toward alleged “safe” areas, only to return and target them directly.

The program also monitors the opinions of experts on this strategy and the role of the Israeli media in it, questioning the extent to which Western public opinion believes Israel’s narrative, which has crossed all red lines and violated international conventions.

In the second part of the episode, the program highlights the high price that journalists paid to convey the truth. The Israeli occupation targeted witnesses to the image and the truth, as more than 175 journalists were martyred, including reporters and photographers from Tel Aviv Tribune’s crews and a large number of their family members.

As part of the “Eyes of Gaza” series, the program tells the story of a touching friendship between the martyr reporter Ismail Al-Ghoul and his colleague Anas Al-Sharif. They were brought together during their teenage and youth days, and they worked side by side in the war field, transmitting to the world the most horrific massacres, until the Israeli killing machine separated them.

During the storming of Jabalia camp, Al-Ghoul was the first refuge for the Al-Sharif family, which miraculously survived after their home was targeted for the second time and Anas’ father was martyred. The program accompanied Anas Al-Sharif and his fellow photographers on a journey of memories that revived that intimate relationship between two young men who pledged to carry the trust and continue covering, despite the sadness of separation and the great sacrifices.
