The Beit Lahia Municipality declares the city a “disaster” and launches a distress call news

The municipality of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip declared the city a disaster as a result of the genocidal war and the Israeli siege, and launched a distress call to save what could be saved.

The Beit Lahia municipality said that the city’s residents are suffering from a humanitarian catastrophe, as a result of the ongoing war and the siege imposed on the city.

She explained that the city has become without food, without water, without hospitals, without first aid, without civil defense, without doctors, without services (sanitation and waste), and without communications.

On October 5, the Israeli occupation army began an unprecedented bombardment on the camp, the town of Jabalia, and large areas in the northern Gaza Strip, and the next day it began invading the region under the pretext of “preventing the Hamas movement from regaining its power in the region.”

With American support, since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza that has left more than 144,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and the elderly.
