The Authority kills a Palestinian and his son, and the Jenin Brigade accuses it of “cold-blooded” murder news

Local sources told Tel Aviv Tribune that a Palestinian and his son were killed and his daughter was injured in heavy gunfire that took place in the Al-Hawashin neighborhood in the middle of the Jenin camp in the West Bank, at a time when the Jenin Brigade accused the Palestinian Authority security of “killing 16 Palestinian citizens in cold blood.”

Al-Hajj’s family in Jenin said that a sniper from the authority’s security services was stationed in the mountain surrounding the camp, sniping the citizen Mahmoud Al-Hajj Al-Jalqamousi (43 years old) and his son Qasim Al-Hajj (14 years old), and seriously injured his daughter, noting that the father was bottling water on the roof of the house before Sniper and his son.

This comes as the Palestinian Authority security services have continued to siege the camp for 28 days, forcing the people to hold Friday prayers in the courtyard of the camp’s social center, despite the sounds of bullets during prayer.

The Committee of Families of Political Prisoners condemned “in the strongest terms the heinous crime committed by the authorities’ agencies against a father and his child in the Jenin camp, where they were shot dead by the authorities’ forces in cold blood while they were trying to fill water, in a crime that can only be described as brutality and inhumanity.”

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) described the security campaign launched by the PA’s security services as “a full-fledged crime, as these agencies practice siege, premeditated killing, arrest, torture, and abuse against our free people.”

In a statement, Hamas mourned “the martyrs of our people who rose at the hands of those devices since the beginning of the operation and the siege,” and warned “of the danger of this encroachment on our societal and national fabric, and the future of our cause, as these practices only serve the occupation and its malicious plans to end resistance in the West Bank.” Western and completion of the annexation and displacement plan.

On the other hand, the spokesman for the Palestinian security forces held those he described as “outlaws” responsible for the tragedy of Al-Hajj’s killing.

He added that his forces were not present in this area, and that they repeatedly called on citizens to be careful.

Jenin battalion charges

In a related development, Tel Aviv Tribune obtained a video statement by a leader in the Jenin Brigade accusing the Palestinian Authority security of “killing 16 Palestinian citizens in cold blood” since October 7, 2023.

The leader of the Jenin Brigade also accused the authorities of turning Jenin Hospital into a military barracks and arresting medical personnel who provided services to the wounded in the camp.

The leader of the Jenin Brigade said that they were open to the tribes’ initiatives for a solution, stressing that the battalion’s fighters refrained from finishing off a security force that fell within their range of fire.

The leader added, “After expelling a security force from one of the houses, we seized a qualitative weapon in its possession.”

An intelligence officer was killed

Earlier today, Friday, the official spokesman for the Palestinian Security Forces, Brigadier General Anwar Rajab, announced the killing of Major Rashid Shaqo from the General Intelligence Service in an “accidental accident while performing his national duty” in the Jenin camp.

The Palestinian security services had previously announced the killing of one of its members in the operation called “Protecting the Homeland,” which has been continuing in the camp since December 14.

The Palestinian Authority also reported on December 23 that a sergeant in its security forces had been killed during violent clashes with resistance members in Jenin.

The clashes that began last month between the security forces and the Jenin Brigade of the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement – in the camp resulted in 12 casualties, including journalist Shatha Al-Sabbagh and 6 Palestinian security personnel.
