The American envoy Steve Witkoff suggests that the ceasefire of Gaza is near | News Israel-Palestine Conflict

Trump’s help says that Washington “Hope”, a 60 -day truce between Israel and Hamas can be reached by the end of the week.

An assistant to the president of United, Donald Trump, suggested that a Gaza ceasefire is near, saying that Washington hopes to see a finalized agreement by the end of the week.

“We are now nearby, and we have had four problems, and now we are one after two days of proximity talks,” Steve Witkoff Steve Witkoff’s Special Envoy said on Tuesday.

“So we hope that at the end of this week, we will have an agreement that will bring us to a 60-day ceasefire.”

Witkoff said the agreement would see the release of 10 Israeli captives and nine years. He added that the Trump administration thinks that the agreement “will lead to lasting peace in Gaza”.

Earlier Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told journalists in Washington, DC, that even if Israel “was still to end the work in Gaza”, the negotiators “certainly work” on a cease-fire.

Trump and Netanyahu died together on Monday at the White House during the third visit to the United States of the Israeli leader since the president began his second term on January 20.

The two leaders met later on Tuesday.

“He comes later. We are going to speak, I would say, almost exclusively Gaza. We must resolve this,” the American president told journalists at a meeting from the Cabinet to the White House earlier during the day.

“It’s a tragedy, and he wants to solve it, and I want to solve it, and I think the other side wants.”

Qatar confirmed on Tuesday that Hamas and Israeli delegations were in Doha to discuss the cease-fire proposal.

“There is a positive commitment right now. Mediation teams – Qataris and Egyptians – are working 24 hours a day to ensure that there is a consensus built on the framework towards talks,” said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatari, Majed Al -Ansari.

The War of Israel against Gaza killed more than 57,500 Palestinians, moved almost the entire population of the enclave and has placed hundreds of thousands of people on the edge of the famine.

Experts and the rights of the United Nations described the Israeli military campaign in Gaza as a genocide.

Netanyahu suggested on Monday that the United States and Israel are working to ensure the mass movement of Gaza Palestinians – an idea offered for the first time by Trump in February.

Israeli officials have supervised the push to withdraw all the Palestinians from Gaza Gaza as an effort to encourage the “voluntary migration” of the territory.

“If people want to stay, they can stay, but if they want to leave, they should be able to leave. It should not be a prison. It should be an open place and give people a free choice,” Netanyahu told journalists.

Defenders of rights said that the abolition of Gaza Palestinians, which would be equivalent to ethnic cleaning cannot be considered voluntary.

The eminent legal expert, Ralph Wilde, said that with general destruction, the siege and daily attacks in Gaza, the concept of free choice to stay there or leave “is a lie”.

“It is a forced displacement because it is not a choice that is made freely,” Wilde told Tel Aviv Tribune.
