Thailand: torrential rains in the south of the country


Torrential rains have since fallen on the south of Thailand: roads are blocked, houses flooded, schools closed.

In southern Thailand, tens of thousands of people are stranded by floods.

Torrential rains fell for 48 hours.

The provinces of Narathiwat and Yala are particularly affected.

Buildings and businesses are invaded by water.

Cars have been swept away, others are immobilized, roads are cut and more than a dozen schools are closed.

Train traffic is also severely disrupted.
