Telegraph: Israel is investigating how Chinese weapons reached Hamas News

The British newspaper The Telegraph said that Israel is investigating how high-tech Chinese equipment reached the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, amid Tel Aviv’s concerns about the possibility of Beijing’s direct “involvement.”

The newspaper quoted an Israeli intelligence source as saying that the army found what it described as “huge quantities” of Chinese weapons in Gaza, and that the question is: Did these weapons come directly from China to Hamas?

The source stated that the discovery was a big surprise to Israel, especially since relations with China were “very good” before the war on Gaza.

The Israeli source confirmed that China has changed its position towards Israel significantly and has now completely moved towards an anti-Semitic position, as he put it.

One of the video clips recently published by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), included one of its snipers using a Chinese M99 Zhejiang rifle, which is a 12.7 mm anti-materiel weapon, and its projectile can penetrate armor and tanks, while It is 1.5 meters long, weighs 12 kilograms, and has a magazine capacity of 5 bullets.

This weapon has appeared several times over the past years in military training and demonstrations in the Gaza Strip without the Al-Qassam Brigades officially revealing it or announcing that it targeted Israeli soldiers.
