After a year and a half of heavy waiting and painstaking research between news, hospitals, cemeteries and human rights institutions, a new pain story that is added to the tragedies record in the Gaza Strip was unveiled.

In the Al -Baydar area, west of the Gaza Valley, the remains of the young Hossam Al -Bardawil, who disappeared in mysterious circumstances, were found more than 18 months ago, after his mother met him from a piece of cloth and the remains of clothes that remained witness to his last trip outside the home.

The finding of the remains was not the end of the story, but rather the beginning of another chapter of the pain experienced by thousands of Palestinian families, as the long absence turns into a painful certainty that weighs hearts and denotes the last threads of hope.

Hossam Al -Bardawil’s story was widely spread through social media platforms, especially after local activists and media circulated pictures and information about the presence of an unidentified body lying under a fig tree in the Al -Baydar area in the Sheikh Ajlin district, south of Gaza City, before the family arrived and his mother was able to identify it.

Moghroudon explained that his mother was able to identify the remains of a decomposing corpse belonging to the young Hossam Al -Bardawil from his clothes that he was wearing in the last time he left his home, after she lost his effects a year and a half ago, before a citizen found him inside his land in the Al -Baydar area, west of Natsarim, in the central Gaza Strip.

Some of the tweeters indicated that the pictures of the remains clearly showed that he was trying to save himself by linking a wound in his left foot, hoping to stop the bleeding, but he was waiting for a long time without anyone being able to reach him.

Others pointed out that the remainder of his clothes, especially the “T -shirt”, was the only sign that helped his mother after a long torment of searching and asking, until she finally managed to find his remains.

One of them wrote: “Our Lord is forced to mind the mother that she found him.

Another added: “Stories are unbelievable, but they happen, their details in Gaza … every day a tragic story.”

Some of them asked, “Did you imagine his last hours? How did he wait for someone to save him in vain?”

Others wrote that this image is not merely the remains of a body, but rather a compelling document on the brutality of the occupier and the tools of the siege and the bombing that he practices against isolation civilians, and the cruelty of the world that sees and does not speak, hears or moves.

Blogans explained that the body decomposing with its torn clothes revealed what the cameras did not show and the news bulletins: a young man who may have tried to help himself, the ligament in which he tightened his wound in his left thigh tests that he did not surrender easily, and that he had resisted until the last drop of life.

In their comments, they indicated that there are many stories similar to the story of Hossam, where many families are waiting for their children day after day in the hope of their return, but in many cases it ends that they have been martyred in bombing without being able to identify their bodies.
