A scientific study conducted in Japan found that Ferolic acid, a plant compound in coffee and rice, reduces the risk of heart attacks.

The researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Japanese University of Tuho confirmed that Ferolic acid prevents arterial contractions, which cause heart attacks, chest pain and many serious cardiovascular diseases.

According to the study, published by the scientific journal Journal of Pharmacological Sciences, a specialist in drug science, researchers found during experiments on the heart vessels of pigs, which resemble human vessels, that airulic acid reduces vessels due to any chemical stimulation inside the body, and found that this compound works through two different mechanisms to protect the body from heart attacks.

The researchers explained that Ferolic acid prevents calcium to enter the muscle cells, which leads to the contracting of the arteries, and also helps in stopping the work of a specific protein bearing the name of myosin, which is one of the factors that cause contraction.

The researchers discovered that Ferolic acid is more beneficial than the delgiam, which is widely used in the expansion of blood vessels.

“Since Ferolic acid is derived from vegetable origins and is considered one of the safe substances, it represents one of the healthy nutritional components, and it may be the basis for making heart treatment medications in the future.”
