Donald Trump on Thursday evening became the first former president in United States history convicted in a criminal case. His lawyers say they will appeal. The verdict will be known in July.
Accused of having hidden a secret payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels, Donald Trump was finally found guilty after a historic trial.
His sentencing announcement will take place on July 11 and legal experts believe he will likely be fined.
His guilt was immediately described as a “shame” by the former US president.

Accused of bias by pro-Trump supporters, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said for his part that the court had only done its job.

In detail, Donald Trump was found guilty of all 34 counts of falsifying business records as part of a hush money scheme to influence the outcome of the 2016 election.
He was notably accused of having concealed a payment made by his lawyer at the time to the former adult film star to buy his silence before the presidential election.
This trial is just one of six cases – four criminal and two civil – facing the 45th president of the United States before the November 5 elections.
Just minutes after Donald Trump’s guilty announcement, Joe Biden’s campaign team released a statement saying “no one is above the law.”
