Israeli occupation forces stormed towns in the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, which included clashes, while Palestinian organizations announced the arrest of 28 Palestinians last night.

Sources told Tel Aviv Tribune that confrontations broke out between Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation army in the town of Beit Furik, east of Nablus, and the occupation forces also stormed the town of Sebastia, northwest of the city.

The occupation forces raided a house after storming the town of Talfit, south of Nablus in the West Bank.

Yesterday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the West Bank accused Israeli forces of storming a hospital in Nablus and arresting a wounded man who was receiving treatment.

The Ministry condemned in a statement the storming of the hospital, considering it a “flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions that provide for the protection of treatment centers and patients.” The operation targeted a private hospital in the city of Nablus, according to medical sources.

On the other hand, the Israeli army confirmed the implementation of the raid in a joint statement issued by the Internal Security Service (Shin Bet) and Al-Yamam, an elite police force unit “specialized in combating terrorism.”

According to the Israeli statement, the officers who carried out the raid arrested a man belonging to a “terrorist cell” involved in a bloody attack that occurred in August.

Also in the context of the raids, sources told Tel Aviv Tribune that the occupation forces stormed the city of Dura, south of Hebron Governorate in the West Bank, and also fired gas bombs during their storming of the city, which led to suffocation injuries.

Various arrests

On the other hand, the occupation arrested 28 Palestinians, including two women, a wounded man, and former prisoners, during its storming of several areas in the West Bank, according to a joint statement issued today, Thursday, by the Prisoners’ Affairs Authority of the PLO (governmental) and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (Ahli).

The arrests were concentrated in Tulkarm, Tubas, and Nablus (north), in addition to Hebron (south), and Ramallah (centre).

The arrests were accompanied by attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, according to the statement.

The statement explained that the number of arrests since the start of the ongoing war of extermination and comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people has reached more than 11,900 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem (..) without Gaza, whose numbers are estimated in the thousands, since October 7, 2023.

In parallel with the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the death of 805 Palestinians and the injury of about 6,450, according to official Palestinian data.
