Palestinian resistance operations continued against the Israeli occupation, and varied between missile bombardment on Tel Aviv and targeting occupation vehicles and soldiers, while the occupation army acknowledged the killing of two soldiers and the wounding of an army battalion commander, the son of a former minister.

In the latest resistance operations, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – announced that its fighters in Jabalia and Beit Lahia (northern Gaza Strip) targeted 8 Israeli tanks with “Al-Yassin 105” and “Tandum” shells and “Shawaz” and “Guerilla action.”

Also in Jabalia, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the targeting of 5 Israeli military vehicles, including a bulldozer and a troop carrier.

Al-Qassam said that its fighters – in conjunction with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – targeted with mortar shells a gathering of occupation forces north of Jabalia, and they also targeted the occupation forces penetrating into the Al-Qasasib neighborhood with heavy-caliber mortar shells.

The Al-Qassam Brigades announced targeting the occupation forces in the “Netzarim” axis with short-range 114 mm “Rajum” missiles.

The brigades broadcast images that they said were of their fighters confronting occupation vehicles and soldiers on the front lines of advance in the Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.

In turn, the Al-Quds Brigades broadcast scenes that they said were of targeting the Ofakim military base, east of the Gaza Strip, with a missile salvo.

Al-Saraya also showed scenes showing its resistance members targeting a gathering of occupation vehicles with a number of “Ababil” bombs east of Jabalia camp.

For 15 days, Jabalia camp has been witnessing fierce clashes after the occupation army returned to the area from which it had previously withdrawn.

In this context, Israeli Channel 12 reported that a surface-to-air missile had landed in the Gaza Strip, and was fired from Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip towards an army helicopter.

Bombing of Tel Aviv

For the first time in more than 4 months, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the bombing of Tel Aviv with a large missile salvo, in response to the Israeli massacres against civilians.

For its part, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that sirens sounded in all cities of central Israel, and in Greater Tel Aviv, after an intense missile barrage was fired from Gaza. Israeli Army Radio also announced the launching of about 12 missiles from the Rafah area towards the heart of Israel.

The occupation army said that it monitored the arrival of 8 missiles to the greater Tel Aviv area, while Israeli sources confirmed that missiles and shrapnel fell in the cities of Herzliya, Raanana and Kfar Saba, north of Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile, the Israeli ambulance announced that 4 people were injured as a result of the bombing.

Commenting on the bombing of Tel Aviv, Sderot and surrounding areas, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said that Israel cannot accept that Hamas still exists and is targeting it.

Smotrich called for the complete occupation of Rafah with full force, and for the army to extend its control over the entire Gaza Strip, considering that this is “the only way by which Israel restores security and retrieves the kidnapped.”

In turn, Israeli War Council Minister Benny Gantz said, “The firing of rockets from Rafah proves that the army must operate wherever Hamas is found, and that Hamas officials will be held accountable.”

Israeli losses

Regarding the occupation’s losses, the Israeli army announced the death of a soldier from the “Netzah Yehuda” battalion, as a result of wounds he sustained last week in the battles in the Gaza Strip.

A short while ago, the Israeli army announced the killing of a second soldier during the battles taking place in the northern Gaza Strip today.

For its part, Israeli Army Radio announced that an army battalion commander – the son of former Housing Minister Avi Eitam – was wounded by sniper bullets in Jabalia.

The Occupation Army Radio stated that Lieutenant Colonel Itamar Eitam in the Bismalakh Brigade was moderately injured yesterday during a clash in Jabalia.

For its part, Maariv newspaper said that Itamar was injured by sniper fire, and was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery. It explained that he holds the position of commander of the reserve battalion No. 6282 in the Bismalakh Brigade.

Thus, the announced number of deaths among the Israeli army – since October 7 – has risen to 635 soldiers, including 282 killed since the start of the ground operation on the 27th of the same month.

The declared number of wounded in the occupation army also rose to 3,591 soldiers, according to army data, which faces local accusations of concealing a much larger toll of its dead and wounded.

Bombing and martyrs

On the other hand, Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that 12 Palestinians were martyred and about 20 others were injured after the occupation forces targeted a house in Jabalia al-Nazla, north of the Gaza Strip.

The reporter also reported that the body of a female martyr arrived at the European Gaza Hospital in an Israeli bombing of the town of Abasan, east of Khan Yunis. Ambulance crews also transported a number of injured people to the hospital, and medical sources described the injuries of some of them as serious.

Tel Aviv Tribune’s correspondent reported that a Palestinian was martyred and others injured, as a result of an Israeli drone bombing a gathering of Palestinians in the center of the city of Rafah.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the Israeli occupation committed, during the past 24 hours, 8 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, which led to the death of 81 people and the injury of 223 others.

The Israeli war on Gaza left more than 116,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and about 10,000 missing amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel continues its war on the besieged Palestinian Strip, ignoring a UN Security Council resolution demanding that it stop the fighting immediately, and orders from the International Court of Justice demanding that it stop its attack on Rafah, take immediate measures to prevent acts of genocide, and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
