24 hours after taking off from Florida, the SpaceX capsule and its American-Russian crew docked with the international space station.

Three American astronauts, two men and a woman, and a Russian cosmonaut, Alexander Grebionkine, make up Crew-8, the new team which is beginning a six-month stay aboard the ISS.

The ISS program is one of the very few areas where Washington and Moscow continue to collaborate.

After the handover, the seven people already on board the station will return to Earth aboard their own capsule.
