Sources for Al Jazeera: The authority besieges the Jenin camp and deprives it of food and medicine news

Palestinian sources in the Jenin camp told Tel Aviv Tribune on Saturday that the Palestinian Authority security services are imposing a strict siege on the camp located in the northern West Bank and preventing the entry of food and medical supplies into it.

The sources indicated that water and electricity were cut off from large parts of the camp due to the siege.

She added that the Authority’s security services arrested a number of injured and injured people in the Jenin camp from inside the hospitals, and also directed threats to journalists to stop covering the events taking place inside the camp and to discourage them from entering it.

Since last month, the Palestinian security forces have continued a military operation in the Jenin camp under the pretext of pursuing what they called “outlaws,” while Palestinian factions – including the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Popular Front and Islamic Jihad – accused the Palestinian security services of pursuing the resistance fighters.

The clashes resulted in the killing of 6 members of the security forces and 8 citizens, including a commander of the Jenin Brigade.

According to the residents, the Palestinian Authority security forces issued instructions to the filling stations in the area not to supply the Jenin camp with any amount of fuel.

Camp residents also accuse Authority security personnel of shooting at the main transformers supplying electricity, causing them to burn.

As a result of preventing waste transport vehicles from entering the Jenin camp, piles of waste and garbage bags piled up in the camp’s already destroyed and bulldozed streets as a result of previous Israeli incursions, which portends a very dangerous health situation.
