For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement – said that it bombed with 60-caliber mortar Israeli soldiers and vehicles penetrating east of George Street, and destroyed enemy military concentrations with missile barrages.

It added that it, in conjunction with the Al-Qassam Brigades, targeted a “Tiger” personnel carrier with an anti-armor shell in the vicinity of the Eastern Cemetery in the Al-Salam neighborhood.

Two Israeli soldiers from the Yahalom unit were seriously injured in battles in the southern Gaza Strip. Six others were also moderately injured, according to the Israeli “Wala” website, which indicated that the soldiers were exposed to mortar shells.

An Israeli soldier from the Givati ​​Brigade was seriously injured in battles in the northern Gaza Strip, and two other soldiers were injured in an operational road accident near the security fence in the area of ​​the town of Niram in the northern Gaza Strip.
