Slovaks in shock after attack on Robert Fico


The day after his assassination attempt, the Prime Minister was hospitalized in a hospital in Banska Bistrica, in the center of the country.

After an operation lasting more than five hours, the Prime Minister is in a stable but critical condition. The news of his attack aroused great emotion in Slovakia.

“This cannot happen in a democracy, it is unacceptable, we can be unhappy, but it is not a solution”explains a passerby.

“He did a lot of things during twelve years when he ruled the country. Some like him and some don’t, that’s the result. In any case, I wish him well.”explains a resident.

“We are worried, we didn’t sleep all night. We were waiting for news on his state of health”explains a worried couple.

This Thursday morning, the Minister of Defense held a press conference where he reassured about the state of health of the Prime Minister.
