At least six Palestinian infants died of hypothermia during a serious cold fate in the Gaza Strip, medical officials said.

Dr. Saeed Salah, medical director of friends of the Gaza patients’s charitable hospital, said on Tuesday that three newborns – aged one and two days – died shortly after being admitted. Two other children also died on Tuesday morning, with a sixth death reported in Khan Younis, in the south of Gaza.

The Gaza Civil Defense Agency also confirmed the registration of the death of six newborns due to the serious cold of cold and the lack of heating in last week.

Salah said that the nurseries from his hospital had recently received eight cases of severe hypothermia, all requiring intensive care.

“Doctors have confirmed that these newborns arrived at the hospital without suffering from specific diseases,” said Hani Mahmoud of Tel Aviv Tribune, reporting on the medical center.

“They were simply born and their family had no way to keep them warm-and this has been the case in recent days since the cold hit the region,” he said.

Hamas has described the death of newborns, calling them the result of Israel’s “criminal” policies. In a press release, it also urged the mediators and the international community to intervene and ensure the entry of the refuge and other essential humanitarian supplies in the Gaza Strip.

There was no immediate comments from the Israeli army.

The deaths of children come as Israel continues to block the entry of temporary housing in Gaza, although he agrees to authorize it under the terms of the cease-fire agreement.

Thousands of mobile houses remain blocked at the crossing of Rafah with Egypt, awaiting Israeli authorization to enter the besieged Palestinian territory.

According to the United Nations, at least eight newborns died of hypothermia in Gaza only in December, while 74 children perished “in the middle of the brutal conditions of winter”.

Israeli attacks against the West West Bank’s health system

The World Health Organization (WHO) has also made an alarm for climbing attacks on health establishments in occupied West Bank.

“We see the current lightning points of violence, attacks on health care … significantly increasing in the West Bank,” said Dr. Rik Peeperkorn, representative of the Palestinian territories occupied on Tuesday during a press point Gaza Tuesday.

Between April and December 2024, the WHO documented 694 attacks against health establishments in the West Bank.

Israeli military operations in occupied West Bank have been intensified in recent months, especially in the North.

In the Tulkarem refugee camp, Israeli forces have maintained a seat for 30 consecutive days, forcibly shifting residents.

Faisal Salama, head of the People’s Committee for Tulkarem Camp Services, the Israeli forces had demolished at least 40 residential buildings on Tuesday, including 100 apartments, and set fire to at least 10 houses.

In Jenin, where Israel has taken a month, more than 20,000 people were forcibly moved.

The municipality of Jenin reported this week that Israeli forces had completely demolished at least 120 houses in the city’s refugee camp.
