Signs of torture on the bodies of Palestinians released by the occupation in Gaza | News

Today, Saturday, the Israeli occupation army released 9 Palestinians who were arrested during its war on the Gaza Strip. Doctors said that signs of torture were visible on the bodies of those released.

Anadolu Agency reported that the Israeli army released the detainees from the Kerem Shalom crossing in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, and they were transferred to the European Gaza Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis.

At the hospital, doctors told Anadolu Agency that signs of fatigue, exhaustion, malnutrition and traces of torture were evident on the bodies of those released.

Since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza on October 7, Israeli, Palestinian and international human rights organizations have spoken about the deteriorating conditions in Israeli prisons, especially in the Sde Teiman Center.

Since the start of its ground operation in Gaza on October 27, the Israeli army has arrested thousands of Palestinian civilians, including women, children, health workers and civil defense personnel.

During the past months, the occupation army released dozens of Palestinian prisoners from Gaza in separate batches, most of whom suffered from a deterioration in their health conditions, and their bodies bore signs of torture and medical neglect.

With American support, Israel waged a devastating war on Gaza, leaving more than 136,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine.

In contempt of the international community, Israel continues this war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
