Saudi Foreign Minister in Damascus to meet Sharia and support the Syrian economy news

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, accompanied by a high -level economic delegation, arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Saturday, on an official visit.

It is scheduled that the Saudi minister, Syrian President Ahmed Al -Shara, will meet, and the accompanying economic delegation will hold a consultative session with their counterparts from the Syrian side, aimed at discussing ways of joint work in a way that contributes to supporting the Syrian economy, enhances the construction of government institutions in it, and achieves the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people.

Great investment opportunities

And in the middle of this month, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that investment opportunities in Syria will be many after the lifting of US sanctions, a day after the United States announced the lifting of all sanctions imposed on the government in Syria.

Prince Faisal added that the Kingdom’s support for Syria will witness remarkable progress after the lifting of US sanctions.

The Saudi minister described “the decision to lift the sanctions as bold and important,” noting that Saudi Arabia will support the stability and prosperity of Syria.

He said, “The decision to lift US sanctions was necessary for the stability of Syria,” adding, “We hope to lift European sanctions from Syria.”

Trump announced during a summit between the United States and the Gulf states in Riyadh that the United States would raise all the sanctions imposed on the government of Syria, and that Washington is discussing the possibility of normalizing relations with Damascus.
