Former Palestinian international player Suleiman al-Obeid was killed on Wednesday by an Israeli attack on assistance seekers in Gaza.
Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah criticized a tribute to the UEFA at the lateiman al-Obeid, known as “Palestinian Pelé”, after the director of European football did not refer the circumstances surrounding his murder this week.
Palestine Football Association said that Al-Obeid, 41, was killed by an Israeli attack on civilians while waiting for humanitarian aid in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday.
In a brief article on X, UEFA called the former member of the national team “a talent that gave hope to countless children, even in the darkest moments”.
Salah replied on Saturday: “Can you tell us how he died, where and why?”

Addressing Tel Aviv Tribune, Bassil Mikdadi, the founder of Palestine of Football, said that he did not expect the football organization to respond to criticism.
“UEFA has not published follow-up, and frankly, I would be surprised if they do,” he said, citing the “full silence” of football bodies and players since the war against Gaza.
Even UEFA’s tribute to Al-Obeid “was a bit surprised,” said Mikdadi.
“Suleiman al -Obeid is not the first Palestinian footballer to perish in this genocide – there have been more than 400 – but he is by far the most important for the moment.”
Salah, one of the largest stars in the Premier League, pleaded for humanitarian aid authorized to enter Gaza during the war of almost two years.
But some responding to the post of Salah asked why the 33 -year -old Egyptian had taken so long to weigh on the genocidal war of Israel.
The United Nations said that more than 1,000 people had been killed on assistance distribution sites and Gaza assistance convoys since the launch of the GHF, a help distribution system supported by the United States and Israel in late May.
