After decades of poaching and instability, the mountain gorilla population is increasing
This is good news for the animal kingdom, after decades of poaching, in Rwanda, the population of mountain gorillas is increasing.
In 2008, there were only 680 mountain gorillas left in the wild. But this number gradually increased to 1,063 primates.
This success is attributed to good living conditions and the gorillas’ tolerance of human presence.
According to experts, this increase is a crucial step for the preservation of mountain gorillas.
