Russian private plane crashes in Afghanistan

A Russian private jet carrying six people is believed to have crashed in a remote area of ​​rural Afghanistan, authorities said Sunday.

The accident occurred on Saturday in a mountainous area near Zebak district in Badakhshan province, according to the regional spokesperson. A rescue team was sent to the area.

Russian civil aviation authorities said a Dassault Falcon 10 went missing with four crew members and two passengers. The plane was carrying out a charter ambulance flight between Gaya (India) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan), before arriving at Moscow International Airport.
