Russian Center: Gaza will remain the main source of concern for Israel Press Tour News

The Russian Strategic Center for Cultures stated – in a report published on its website – that Israeli officials have continued to confirm that Israel is currently fighting on several fronts, and added that it is possible that the list of its enemies will grow longer.

In addition to the war on Gaza – the report explains – the Israeli army is engaged in limited clashes with the Lebanese Hezbollah, and the occupied West Bank is witnessing unrest that may get out of control.

The report adds that the occupied Syrian Golan Heights is also an area of concern for Israel.

As for the tense relationship with Iran, it has so far stopped at an exchange of threats – according to the Russian Center – which explained that after the killing of the high-ranking advisor to the Revolutionary Guard, Radhi Mousavi, Tehran threatened Tel Aviv with retaliation, accusing it of being behind the incident.

Yemen and Iraq

The Russian Center added that the Houthis in Yemen are among Israel’s most prominent enemies, as they launched attacks on it and opened fire on ships carrying goods to it in the Red Sea region, which forced many companies to change their direction. It is certain that the Houthis will not leave Israel alone. According to his expression.

The report added that the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” movement declared itself responsible for directing what it described as a successful strike on a “vital Israeli target” in the Mediterranean.

It has previously claimed responsibility for attacks on US military bases in Syria and Iraq. The movement also announced its intention to continue supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and respond to Israeli “atrocities.”

The Russian report confirmed that Gaza remains the main source of concern for Israel, especially in light of the failure to achieve the main objectives of its war against it due to the fierce resistance of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) fighters, as Israel is suffering losses that have sparked public opinion reactions in Tel Aviv.

The report quoted media sources as saying that the Israeli army is preparing to change its strategy in the Gaza Strip and compensate active operations with slow battles. It wants to expand the “buffer zone” to prevent Gazans from approaching the border wall called the Iron Wall.

Exhausting war

After that, Israeli raids will be carried out, and the strength of the forces present in the Strip will decrease. According to the Chairman of the Knesset Foreign Relations and Defense Committee, Yuli Edelstein, Israel is moving from the second to the third phase of the military operation in Gaza, and society must prepare for a long war.

The Russian Strategic Center for Cultures stressed that Israel has never fought such an exhausting and difficult war in its history, nor has it ever faced such fighters.

Contrary to expectations, the clashes continued for a longer period and extended beyond the Gaza Strip.

According to Bloomberg, this year Israel needs to increase defense spending by at least 30 billion shekels ($8.3 billion), not to mention other massive budgets to pay for post-war projects. The calculations are based on the expectation that the war will end in the first quarter of 2024.

The Russian Center’s report added that even if Israel was ultimately able to defeat Hamas, this would not help it solve its most difficult problems.
