Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to meet with the Crown Prince to step up pressure for a peace plan and the return of prisoners of war from Russia.

Since the start of the conflict, Mohammed bin Salman has repeatedly declared that he wants to play the role of mediator between the two camps – even if Riyadh works closely with Russia on energy policies within the framework of OPEC.

Volodymyr Zelensky must then continue his diplomatic tour in Albania. The trip comes as Kyiv’s armed troops struggle to repel advancing Russian forces despite a shortage of ammunition.

Moscow advances a little more each time. A new line of defense was created in just a few days. Three kilometers from the front, the Ukrainians raised “dragon teeth” to stop the Russian tanks.

Kyiv also said it had shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter jet. If this claim is confirmed, it would be one of the few advances by the Ukrainian army in recent weeks.

For several months, Kyiv has decided to limit the use of missiles and has withdrawn from the fighting against Russia while awaiting deliveries and the renewal of military aid from the West.
